Job Summary

CMT Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled AWS Welding Inspector and CWI Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our materials engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of structural concrete, masonry, and steel welding projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement test procedures for elements being inspected
  • Stay up-to-date with applicable specifications and codes
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and structural engineers to ensure project requirements are met
  • Convey information effectively to stakeholders through timely and clear communication
  • Maintain accurate records for assigned projects
  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineer's requirements
  • Write clear and concise inspection reports and test results
  • Keep certifications current and up-to-date
  • Meet client satisfaction standards
  • Perform soil density and concrete testing
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance
  • Submit time cards and datasheets daily
  • Maintain company equipment and vehicles in accordance with company policy
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and perform written instructions, procedures, and calculations
  • Recommendation from three project managers
  • High level of leadership and technical skills
  • Vast knowledge of materials, testing, and testing procedures/methods
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks
  • ICC certification in one or more areas: masonry, concrete, structural steel, or fireproofing
