We offer a variety of shifts to accommodate your schedule: 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm, & 10:00pm - 6:00am.
Compensation and Benefits for Compassionate Caregivers:
- $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time qualifying candidates
- Competitive pay starting at $15.00, based on experience
- Shift differential pay (at participating locations)
- Paid Time Off (PTO+) accrued after 30 days of employment; earn additional PTO as you work (full-time only)
- Quarterly perfect attendance rewards (full-time only)
- 6 observed holidays with premium pay or leave, plus 1 floating holiday for full-time employees
- Up to $5,000 per year in tuition/education reimbursement for approved programs
- Access to 75% of your net earned wages at the end of each shift
- 401(k) retirement plan with company-matched contributions after one year of employment
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary insurances for full-time employees
- Monthly contests and employee appreciation events
Key Responsibilities of a Compassionate Caregiver:
- Respond to resident needs by answering signal lights and bells
- Assist residents with personal grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, and incontinence care
- Support residents during meal times by obtaining food trays and assisting with feeding
- Facilitate range of motion exercises for residents
- Ensure personal comfort and care for residents
- Aid in mobility to wheelchairs or activity areas
- Assist residents with short-distance ambulation within the facility
- Record vital signs and resident intake/output as directed
- Provide both direct and indirect care services to residents
- Communicate effectively with residents and their families
- Report any changes in residents' clinical conditions to the nursing team
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications for Compassionate Caregivers:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must pass a state-issued examination
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of Iowa is required
- Preferred experience of six months in a long-term care setting
- Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for communication
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and facility staff
