About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time caregiver to join our team at Visiting Angels of Redlands. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the Moreno Valley area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and conversation to our clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding, ensuring our clients maintain their dignity and independence.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and linen changing, to create a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Lay out clothes and assist with dressing, helping our clients to feel prepared and confident for the day ahead.
  • Plan and prepare meals, taking into account our clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide medication reminders, ensuring our clients take their medications as prescribed.
  • Provide transportation to and from appointments, helping our clients to stay connected with their healthcare providers.
  • Help family members learn safe care techniques, empowering them to provide the best possible care for their loved ones.
Qualifications
  • Treat clients with dignity and respect, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
  • Interpret the client's provided plan of care, ensuring you are aware of their specific requirements.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation, enabling you to transport clients safely and efficiently.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing situations and priorities.
  • Tolerate small pets, such as dogs and cats, in the client's home.
  • Be reachable via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and emergencies.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, ensuring you can safely assist clients with mobility and transfer needs.
  • Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care is a plus, but not required.
