About the Opportunity

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an experienced Search Product Engineer to join the Digital Platform Team. This role will involve creating advanced search capabilities, including NLP, AI, and text analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing search solutions that meet the needs of Federal Reserve employees.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience working on search solutions, with a strong understanding of search concepts, including query parsing, indexing pipelines, relevancy ranking, and tokenization. They will also have experience working with Solr or other Enterprise Search solutions, as well as AWS Cloud experience.

The team works in 2-week iterations, using Agile methodologies to collaborate on solutions with a delivery mindset. The successful candidate will be able to communicate complex systems to stakeholders and build on top of existing standards where security is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement advanced search capabilities, including NLP, AI, and text analysis
  • Develop and maintain search solutions that meet the needs of Federal Reserve employees
  • Collaborate with the Digital Platform Team to identify and prioritize search-related projects
  • Communicate complex systems to stakeholders and build on top of existing standards where security is paramount

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience working on search solutions
  • Strong understanding of search concepts, including query parsing, indexing pipelines, relevancy ranking, and tokenization
  • Experience working with Solr or other Enterprise Search solutions
  • AWS Cloud experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex systems to stakeholders

Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding of security trimming and government or classified data security standards
  • LucidWorks Fusion experience
  • Data extraction experience
  • Terraform or similar experience
  • Security scanning tools experience
  • CICD Pipeline technologies experience
