Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:


The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who exhibits the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients.

Each unit may require specialized skills.

The delivery of care is based on criteria that are age-appropriate and considers the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of each individual patient.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator may rotate to other areas outside of their normally assigned service area and will perform duties for which they have demonstrated competency.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator performs delegated duties consistent with their scope of practice and operates within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator demonstrates positive support for NSMC and the entire HealthONE organization.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator cares for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

Position Requirements:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current AHA or ARC BLS.

Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Experience:
Two to four years of acute care/specialty nursing experience is preferred.

1 to 3 years of previous experience in a charge/supervisory position is desirable; able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Exhibits strong organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC. Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
