Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Weekend Charge Nurse to join our care team at Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our team of nurses on weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned residents, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Lead and manage the nursing team on weekends, ensuring seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including medication administration, treatments, and other procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on health-related topics and disease management.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Experience in a similar role or setting, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and standards, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
