Forklift Operator / Material Handler Job Description

Glanbia Performance Nutrition is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving goods, loaded pallets, and equipment in our temperature-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and reach trucks to move products and materials
  • Load, unload, and stage product and materials using a range of equipment
  • Accurately pull and prepare product for use in production or for shipment
  • Inspect materials during picking, shipping, and receiving to ensure product number accuracy and material is free of damage
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner following work methods and OSHA standards
Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of sit-down, reach, and stand-up forklift experience
  • Lift up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Carry up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 5 ft.
  • Be able to pull a 55lb bag from a height of 60 inches on an occasional basis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a food environment or consumer product
  • Experience using WMS or ERP system with RF scanning
