Position Overview
As an R&D Analytical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the development and validation of analytical methods for various pharmaceutical products. Your expertise will be essential in supporting both internal and external projects, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Acting as the subject matter expert on analytical methodologies for products in development and those already commercialized.
- Independently developing, assessing, and validating analytical test methods for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, and drug products.
- Utilizing a range of techniques including HPLC, UPLC, UV, GC, and more specialized methods like NMR and mass spectrometry.
- Conducting evaluations of materials from new vendors to ensure their suitability based on physico-chemical properties.
- Leading the drafting of product specifications and analytical procedures.
- Supporting product development activities through sample analysis at various stages.
- Implementing new analytical techniques and conducting trend analyses of data.
- Collaborating with contract research organizations and providing technical expertise during project execution.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant scientific field such as Pharmaceutics, Analytical Chemistry, or Organic Chemistry.
- A minimum of three years of relevant industry experience.
- In-depth knowledge of analytical methods and laboratory techniques.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work standing or walking for extended periods and to lift materials as needed.
