Position Overview:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated HVAC Systems Technician to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and manage inventory through effective planning and procurement.
  • Oversee and guide team members in the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
  • Address service requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Contribute to various functions within the Building and Grounds department.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Proficient understanding of HVAC principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with tools and equipment relevant to HVAC work.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team.
  • Competence in maintaining records related to system maintenance and repairs.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with modern web-based HVAC control systems.
  • Experience with mini-split systems, split systems, and packaged units.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and preventative maintenance software.
