Drafter Intern

As a Hydro Design Drafter Intern at Northwestern Energy, you will be working on drafting support for the Hydro Drafter's workload, including supporting current and future projects in the Hydro Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support as-built survey and drafting work for various ongoing and future projects
• Work closely with Drafting, engineering and field personnel
• Work almost daily with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant
• Occasional use of Word, Access, and Excel
• Learn and use Adept drawing repository
• Assist with as-built processes
• Assist with station schematics
• Assist with backlog of as-built drawings
• Participate in organizational work meetings
• Travel up to 5% of the time may be required
• Lifting of material up to 50 pounds

Requirements:

• Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
• Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
• Drafting or Engineering Technology major required
• Has successfully completed freshman year or above
• Must be in good academic standing
• Must Provide GPA in Resume upon application

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year based on a 20-hour workweek, depending on qualifications and experience.
