Fire and Emergency Response Manager

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Fire and Emergency Response Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing public safety information during emergency response, training, and exercise support for external stakeholders. This role requires frequent overnight travel and work during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to fires and storms affecting PacifiCorp electric infrastructure and non-electric facilities.
- Represent PacifiCorp during fire and other emergency incidents.
- Coordinate PacifiCorp's response by providing information to manage the bulk power system, threat, and potential impacts.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with fire and emergency management agencies throughout the service territory.
- Provide urgent and timely incident information to PacifiCorp leadership and organizations.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a paid firefighter.
- Valid driver's license.
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to establish objectives, decision making, and oversee multiple projects, operations, and functions.
- Necessary skills to support the development or implementation of a system, program, or process.
- 24/7 availability to support emergencies and disasters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree.
- Experience and education/knowledge in wildland firefighting.
- Certification as a qualified electrical worker and/or previous electric utility experience.
- 10 years of experience responding to and managing emergencies/incidents for a public agency, utility, or first responder organization.
