Job Title: Classroom Teacher Responsibilities

Job Summary:

To plan, organize, and implement an effective instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Work is performed under the supervision of the principal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning, aligning with established procedures and standards.
• Classroom Management: Establish and enforce rules and procedures to maintain a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring student safety and well-being.
• Student Assessment and Progress: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs, participating in department, school, and district meetings to ensure alignment and coordination.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education.
• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
  • Prepare required reports on students and activities.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and events as directed.
