About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor I to oversee all aspects of maintenance operations, including resident service requests, preventative maintenance, personnel management, vendor relationships, compliance with safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Operations Management: Oversee daily maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, assign work to team members, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and train new maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
• Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to extend the life of assets, minimize future repairs, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding promptly to service requests and resolving issues efficiently.
• Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
• Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., facilities management, construction management) preferred.
• Experience: 1-2+ years of maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in the student housing/multifamily industry.
• Skills: Strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and proficiency in MS Office and related software.
• Certifications: Valid driver's license and EPA certification preferred.
