Job Description

Ryder is seeking a dedicated part-time SOLO Class A CDL driver to join our team in Saginaw, TX. As a Ryder driver, you will have the opportunity to drive with a reputable company that values its employees and provides a safe and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Benefits
  • Ryder drivers are paid weekly.
  • Hourly pay: $25.79 per hour + $4.98 H&W stipend.
  • Hours per week: 16 hours per week.
  • Paid training.
  • Schedule: Saturday and Sunday.
  • Start time: 12:00 AM or 1:00 PM.
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test.
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

Additional Requirements
  • A secondary background screen – Federal Level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and/or to provide contractual services.
  • Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless there is a legal exemption.
