Job Title: Recovery Room Nurse

Job Summary:

At Doctors Hospital of Laredo, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Room Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients recovering from surgery or other medical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and competent nursing care to patients in the recovery room, adhering to facility policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • BLS certification (or obtained during orientation).
  • Current state nursing license.
  • Prefer one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting.
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications (or obtained within six months of employment).
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
