Position Overview

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, specializing in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Certification Requirements
  • Certifications: Candidates must possess expertise in Cardiac Cath, CRM, and Peripheral Vascular procedures.
Job Responsibilities
  • Work within a high-acuity environment at a recognized Level II Trauma Center.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment including Shockwave, Laser, and Impella for patient care.
  • Participate in a collaborative team setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Work Environment
  • Facility: HCA Florida Blake Hospital.
  • Unit Capacity: The department consists of 5 procedure suites.
  • Staffing: Comprises a Director, Clinical Nurse Coordinator, and a dedicated team of RNs and technologists.
Shift Information
  • Schedule: Day shifts are standard for all staff, with night shifts designated for on-call emergencies.
  • Weekend and Holiday Work: Travelers are expected to adhere to the facility's rotation policy.
Patient Care
  • Patient Ratios: 1 patient to 3-4 staff members, ensuring focused care.
  • Typical Procedures: Involves Diagnostic and Interventional Cath, Peripheral Vascular interventions, Pacemaker insertions, and TAVR procedures.
Additional Information

Travelers will be integrated into the facility's scheduling system and are expected to maintain flexibility in their work assignments.
