We are seeking a skilled Crochet Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Crochet Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students in our crochet courses.
Key Responsibilities:- Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs.
- Instruct students on proper crochet techniques and pattern reading.
- Follow established course outlines and evaluation mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
- Develop and update curriculum to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Communicate effectively with students to support their educational goals.
- Grade assignments and provide timely feedback.
- Process course grades and submit reports as required.
- Collaborate with program coordinators to address student concerns and challenges.
- Adhere to attendance and scheduling requirements.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in crafting techniques, including crochet, weaving, and knitting.
- Ability to create, read, and follow complex patterns.
- Instructional/training experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Associate degree in textile design or a related field.
- One year of teaching and/or training experience in an appropriate discipline.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Ability to create diverse teaching methods.
