Job Summary:

As a Delivery/Shuttle Driver for Core-Mark, you will play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. This is a critical role in the country's food supply chain, and you will be the face of our company, building lasting relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations, and ensure they meet company safety standards.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies, and immediately report any safety hazards.
  • Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight, and ensure all required route paperwork is with the tractor trailer load.
  • Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas, and ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
  • Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required, and perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months Class A delivery experience
  • Valid Class A/CDL License
  • Valid DOT Medical Card and/or ability to secure one
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift
