We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counselor II to join our team at Tri-County Human Services. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients to develop effective treatment plans.
- Facilitate family counseling sessions and provide education on addiction and mental health topics.
- Lead group counseling sessions and provide individual counseling under the supervision of a Clinical/Program Supervisor.
- Perform case management duties, including maintaining accurate records and coordinating additional services as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Services, such as Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or Counseling.
- At least two years of experience in mental health or addictions treatment, or certification as an Addictions Professional (CAP).
- Strong knowledge of addictions treatment and mental health principles, including therapeutic methods and techniques.
