Key Responsibilities- Assist in Providing Resident Care: Assist nursing personnel in providing resident care, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
- Support Nursing Staff: Assist with staffing coverage, including taking call and providing support to nursing staff during their assigned work hours.
- Delegate Duties: Delegate tasks to non-licensed nursing personnel and monitor their performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in collecting and analyzing quality assurance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Infection Control: Assist with infection control measures, including adhering to standard precautions and reporting any potential issues to the RN.
- Record Keeping: Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including resident assessments and medication administration records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Licensure: Current, valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in North Carolina required.
- Certifications: CPR certification required; ability to obtain and maintain certifications as required by the facility.
- Skills: Ability to work well under pressure, problem-solve, and perform various jobs; ability to read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures.
