Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled WIC Nutrition Consultant to join our team at the Arizona Department of Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of local agency nutrition services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply federal and state rules and regulations related to the WIC program
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for statewide implementation
  • Provide technical assistance and training to local agencies on nutrition services and program regulations
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate compliance with federal and state standards and provide feedback to local agencies
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop short and long-range plans and strategies for outreach and service expansion
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or nutrition-related degree and 3 years' work experience in federal nutrition programs
  • Master's degree in nutrition, curriculum development, public health, training, or management preferred
