Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Associate to join our team at CarMax. As a key member of our parts department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the correct parts for their vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by locating and distributing parts to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Receive and process shipments of parts, maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with technicians to determine the correct part numbers and ensure efficient parts distribution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts inventory, adhering to OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, providing outstanding service and support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Intermediate PC skills with spreadsheet knowledge and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions

This role primarily involves working in an indoor office environment, with occasional exposure to noisy conditions and inclement weather. You will be required to wear CarMax-provided clothing while working in the store.
