Job Title: Imaging Service Engineer 1

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Imaging Service Engineer 1 to join our team at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY.

Job Summary:

As an Imaging Service Engineer 1, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. You will interact with clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems and participate in on-the-job training programs to enhance your technical, administrative, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and repair diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments
  • Interact with clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems
  • Participate in on-the-job training programs to enhance technical, administrative, and customer service skills
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills
Requirements:
  • Basic Education Requirement: Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment
  • Basic Functional Experience: 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training
