Role Summary:
The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing a range of medium to large-scale projects, collaborating closely with IT personnel and end users. This role operates under the guidance of the IT Director of Applications, with specific focus areas assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Project Management.
- Proficiency in Project Management methodologies and tools, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for business-related purposes.
- Exceptional project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities, along with strong relationship-building and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee medium to large-scale enterprise projects, coordinating resources across various teams, establishing milestones, crafting project plans, and monitoring project progress.
- Implement software and enterprise applications that enhance employee productivity and optimize business operations.
- Generate metrics reports, status updates, and dashboards, and organize regular review meetings with senior management.
- Ensure adherence to audit standards, SOX compliance, and operational controls.
- Develop and secure approval for project scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Create contingency plans, risk management strategies, and maintain issue logs.
- Facilitate the resolution of issues and manage individual risk mitigation efforts.
- Act as a liaison with other functional and technical teams regarding all project activities.
- Assist in selecting methodologies and documentation standards for the project team.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMI/PMP and Scrum Master certifications.
- Experience with applications in transportation and logistics sectors.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for managing project user stories and tasks.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Knowledge of logistical tools such as Descartes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in the HAZ Waste industry is a plus.
