Job Summary:
Yavapai Regional Medical Center - West is seeking an experienced Travel Nurse to join our team in a MedSurg/Tele position. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to MedSurg/Tele patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and interpret tele strips, and take appropriate action as needed
- Participate in charge nurse duties, including assigning and delegating tasks to other staff members
- Float to other units as needed, including East Campus and PCU
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience in MedSurg/Tele nursing, with a focus on tele strips and patient assessment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Schedule:
12-hour shifts, 7am-7:30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Self-scheduling is used, but schedules are not final until the manager balances.
Unit Specific Information:
- Unit: MedSurg/Tele
- Equipment: Bipap, Cpap, high flow, and some breathing treatments
- Monitor Techs: Tele is monitored remotely, tele techs are on the 3rd floor
Orientation:
1 shift of orientation on the unit, which includes an overview of the unit's policies and procedures, as well as an introduction to the team.
