Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

CHOC Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Critical Care Division in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement plans of care for patients in the CVICU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat cardiac medical patients, as well as pre- and post-operative/catheterization cardiac patients.
- Develop and implement plans of care for all patients in the CVICU, in collaboration with the attending CVICU attending and practicing within developed standardized procedures and process protocols.
- Provide consultation and education to patients and their families, while functioning in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary cardiac team.
Requirements:
- California licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner with at least two years of bedside nursing experience in direct pediatric cardiovascular intensive patient care.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- At least one year of clinical pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience is desired, but not mandatory.
