The RN Unit Manager is responsible for supervising and assisting the day-to-day nursing staff at Newport Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a Generations Healthcare facility. This role requires adherence to federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in facility surveys and inspections as required.
- Assist in updating resident discharge plans.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary.
- Complete medical forms, reports, and charting as required.
- File necessary record keeping forms and charts.
- Current, unencumbered RN license in this state.
- At least 2 years of experience in a psych or locked facility or hospital setting.
- Knowledge and skills to provide care for behavioral and nursing needs of residents.
- Supervisor or management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Must be enthusiastic about caring for behavioral residents and possess a desire to be part of a dynamic team.
