About This Opportunity
This Pediatric Sales Specialist role is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Roanoke, VA. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and managing Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospital and office settings within your assigned territory.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, clinical knowledge, and business acumen. They will work closely with healthcare professionals, including dietitians, physicians, and nurses, to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed territory sales goals for Similac and PediaSure
• Negotiate and contract with hospitals to secure product placements and revenue growth
• Stay up-to-date on all product offerings, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines to effectively communicate benefits to customers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and drive business growth
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital departments, including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare sales, preferably with clinical experience (Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel (4 overnights per month and additional 5-10% travel for regional/national meetings annually)
