Overview
The University of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join its Division of Transplant Surgery as a Teaching Associate. This is a full-time position on a 12-month service period, with an estimated start date in Winter 2024/2025.

Salary
The base salary range for this position is $130,008 - $184,692 annually, commensurate with years of experience as a licensed ARNP or PA. In addition to the base salary, compensation may include payments for factors such as acuity, nights, and call.

Job Description
This role will involve providing comprehensive clinical care to transplant patients and donors in the pre-, peri-, and post-transplant phases of care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing a full spectrum of care for transplant acute care surgical patients.
  • Participating in the education of nursing staff and surgical residents.
  • Participating in quality improvement projects and process improvement activities for the Division of Transplant Surgery.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants must have:
  • A current and valid state Registered Nurse Licensure for ARNP or Physician Assistant licensure for PA-C.
  • A Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Nationally certified ARNP/PA with DEA.
  • Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
