Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Swedish Medical Center. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures, maintaining knowledge of all procedures and protocols, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all technical procedures, including testing and processing of specimens, under the direct supervision of the Section Supervisor/Coordinator.
  • Maintain proficiency in performance of technical procedures and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in clinical laboratory science.
  • Communicate effectively with other allied health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other laboratory personnel.
  • Process specimens, perform requisition entry, and report results in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform required quality control and function verification of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • NCA Certified Lab Specialist, or Medical Lab Scientist certification required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of antigen/antibody reactions, use of blood components, compatibility testing, and regulations preferred.
