Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Grady Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with medication preparation and distribution
  • Collect and process payments, maintain accurate records, and prepare daily cash deposits
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment
  • Report operational issues and utilize reporting tools to expedite resolutions
  • Review and transcribe physician orders, and update patient profiles as needed
  • Manage inventory and order medications based on PAR levels
  • Perform monthly inspections to ensure medications are in date
  • Return medications to stock when appropriate
  • Provide exceptional customer service and utilize AIDET principles
  • Answer phone calls efficiently and effectively
  • Assemble medications for pharmacist review
  • Support leadership in implementing workflows and process improvements
  • Float to other pharmacies as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern licensure with the State of Georgia Board of Pharmacy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB certification
