About the Company

A prominent retailer in the South Bay area is seeking a Senior Accountant to enhance their finance team. You will report directly to the Director of Accounting and play a crucial role in managing lease schedules and overseeing the month-end closing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries for month-end close.
  • Manage lease accounting schedules effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive management financial reporting packages.
  • File sales tax returns accurately.
  • Conduct adjusting journal entries and accounts receivable reconciliations.
  • Support the annual financial statement audit with relevant schedules.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analyses as required.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives and uphold internal controls.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Experience with multi-entity or location accounting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ASC 842 standards is a significant plus.
