Position Overview
Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. has been a leader in emergency medical services since its inception in 1959. With a robust workforce of over 2,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses, we operate a comprehensive fleet of more than 500 ambulances across multiple states, including Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Our services extend beyond ground transport to include Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed-wing emergency medical transportation.
Role Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering appropriate patient care as per Paramedic training.
- Ensuring safe transportation by effectively navigating routes and accurately identifying locations.
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and communicating findings to medical professionals.
- Documenting patient conditions, medical histories, and treatments accurately.
- Maintaining proper documentation for billing purposes.
- Keeping the ambulance in a clean and sanitary condition while monitoring essential vehicle systems.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- EMT National Registry and/or a current state license (or pending).
- The ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level during patient transport.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment interview, including a physical and lifting examination, as well as a drug screening.
- Participation in company-provided training and driving courses.
