Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Investment Risk Analytics to lead our Analytics team within Investment Risk at T. Rowe Price. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Group, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely risk metrics, reports, and dashboards to support our independent risk oversight and compliance with global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop a strategic vision for the Analytics team and ensure alignment with the firm's overall risk management objectives.
    • Engage with key stakeholders to understand business needs and define the Analytics team's target operating model.
    • Ensure the Analytics team is appropriately structured and resourced to deliver business needs.
  • Production Support and Data Management
    • Provide production support to ensure risk models have proper input data, batch jobs are completed, and vendor Service Level Expectations are met.
    • Ensure new accounts, benchmarks, and securities/instruments are properly set up in risk systems.
    • Partner with other business units to facilitate the distribution of risk data to front office platforms, regulators, internal compliance teams, and clients.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Remediation
    • Conduct root cause analysis to remediate recurring processing issues and implement solutions by partnering with technology and other business units.
  • Data Governance and Compliance
    • Represent Investment Risk on the Chief Data Office's Data Management Working Group to ensure Investment Risk's data needs are understood by data owners.
    • Contribute to the resolution of upstream data issues impacting Investment Risk.
    • Share best practices from the Chief Data Office with Investment Risk.
    • Act as the data owner for all Investment Risk data and ensure it is accurate, reliable, and managed effectively throughout its lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education (quantitative field or business) and relevant experience.
    • 10+ years of total relevant work experience in the financial industry, ideally in a data, analytics, or operations leadership role.
  • Leadership and Technical Skills
    • Leadership experience on an analytics team on the buy-side or sell-side.
    • Strong knowledge of data quality assessment techniques and experience leading production support teams.
    • Experience deploying reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools.
    • Strong analytical skills and excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Postgraduate degree in a quantitative field or business.
    • Completion of a relevant professional accreditation, such as the CFA, FRM, PRM, or CAIA.
    • Experience leading teams with a global footprint.
