Are you an experienced Medical or Clinical Laboratory Scientist eager to make a difference in your community? A full-time opportunity is available in Fallon, NV.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position demands a high level of technical expertise and analytical skills in the medical testing sector. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to laboratory standards and regulatory guidelines, such as CLIA 88 and CAP, while also processing biological samples.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct tests with precision and efficiency according to established protocols
  • Identify and address any abnormal test results
  • Manage inventory and assist in financial oversight
  • Engage in departmental projects and training programs
  • Serve as a resource for educational initiatives
  • Handle patient samples as required

SUPERVISORY DUTIES
DIRECT REPORTS
None
INDIRECT REPORTS
Medical Lab Technicians (MLTs), Clinical Lab Assistants, Phlebotomists
SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY
Interaction with both internal and external stakeholders within the department and organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and compliance with safety protocols are essential

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science with relevant certification (MLS or categorical)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in MLS/MT or categorical
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Experience in phlebotomy and specimen handling
