We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Technologist to join our team at Universal Health Services. As an Orthopedic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians with orthopedic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for visits and procedures, assisting nursing staff as needed.
- Apply casts, orthopedic splints, bandages, and braces under the supervision of a physician.
- Adjust and remove casts or other orthopedic devices as directed by the physician.
- Inspect and adjust bandages as directed by the physician.
- Maintain orthopedic inventory and supplies in cooperation with the Nursing supervisor.
- Maintain clean and orderly treatment areas.
- Ensure that treatments are properly documented and signed.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Completion of orthopedic training program required.
- One-year experience in applying casts, traction, and braces required.
- Orthopedic Technologist Certificate, and current BLS Certification required.
