Job Title: Materials Science Intern

Job Description:

Musco Sports Lighting, a global leader in sports and large area lighting solutions, is seeking a Materials Science Intern to join our team. As a Materials Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and tools in our Materials Laboratory.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct materials analysis using advanced laboratory tools.
  • Provide materials engineering and technical support for special processes affecting materials properties.
  • Conduct failure analysis and evaluations of purchased parts, experimental parts, field returns, manufacturing processes, and alternative material options.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Product Support, Manufacturing, and Procurement to provide materials engineering guidance and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Materials Science or Chemical Engineering Major.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
  • Preference will be given to college sophomores and juniors.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
