Position: Café Job Coach

Futures Inc. is on the lookout for passionate Café Job Coach candidates to support individuals with developmental challenges in achieving their personal and professional goals.

Role Summary:

The Café Job Coach will work under the guidance of the Culinary Director and the VP of Social Enterprises, focusing on enhancing the skills of clients in a café environment.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly Position (35 hours/week, with every other Saturday required)

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience as a barista
  • Must pass a clear background check
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license required
  • Personal vehicle and car insurance are necessary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fulfilling customer orders while adhering to specific preferences (including dairy and sugar ratios)
  • Guiding clients in mastering essential café operation skills
  • Providing supervision and support to clients
  • Documenting and reporting on client goals and achievements daily
  • Regularly updating designated supervisors on client progress
  • Transporting clients using a personal vehicle while adhering to all driving regulations
  • Effectively communicating and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Conducting café-related transactions
  • Ensuring a clean and organized workspace
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
