Job Overview

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. This role involves assisting customers on the sales floor, ensuring a smooth checkout process, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and efficient service to customers.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and guide them through their shopping experience.
  • Operate cash registers and handle credit/debit transactions accurately.
  • Monitor store entrance and greet customers upon arrival.
  • Familiarize yourself with various departments to effectively assist customers.
  • Restock and organize merchandise on the sales floor.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.

Screenings: A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

The demands of this position require the ability to:

  • Stand, bend, lift, and stretch for extended periods.
  • Perform repetitive motions with hands and wrists.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
