About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at National Beef Packing Co., LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
  • Rebuild, repair, and/or replace equipment/machinery/parts as needed
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent equipment downtime
  • Install new equipment/machinery/parts and inspect existing systems
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to resolve maintenance issues
  • Examine and test products from assigned equipment to ensure quality specifications
  • Record data and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a food processing environment
  • Strong mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ammonia/refrigeration systems and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of food processing and general plant layout
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
