Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team at Chenega Professional Services, LLC. The successful candidate will provide critical support to victims of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 response to victims alleging domestic abuse, establishing a safe and confidential environment.
  • Develop and maintain a victim's safety plan, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Family Advocacy Treatment Manager and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive response to domestic abuse cases.
  • Offer referrals to military and civilian resources, empowering victims to take control of their situation.
  • Provide ongoing support and advocacy, facilitating victims' access to medical services, housing, and other essential resources.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with victims of domestic abuse, with a focus on safety planning and advocacy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of local and national resources available to support victims of domestic abuse.
