Echocardiography Tech Job Description

As a Cardiac Sonographer at KA Recruiting Inc., you will perform routine echocardiography examinations and provide preliminary interpretation of studies performed. Your tasks will include trans-thoracic echocardiograms, trans-esophageal echocardiograms, stress and contrast echocardiograms, and vascular ultrasound procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree in echocardiography non-invasive cardiovascular technology or equivalent education and training. Experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International is also required. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in trans-thoracic contrast echocardiograms.

Licenses and Certifications

You must be registered as a Cardiac Sonographer by either American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. New graduates must obtain registry within 6 months of hire and have BLS certification. You will also be exposed to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infective materials, requiring constant hearing, speaking, vision, and repetitive hand movement.
