Role of the State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA):
As a State Tested Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing comfort and support to patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure a high-quality experience, serving as the essential eyes and ears for the care team. If you are passionate about honoring the dignity of individuals in their final moments, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Qualifications for STNA:
- Completion of an Ohio State Department of Health Competency Test from an accredited program, with a minimum of 75 hours of certification.
- Active and unrestricted certification as a nurse's aide from the state.
- A minimum of 3-6 months of recent experience as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Aide is required.
- Experience in a Hospice or Home Health Agency is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary caregivers.
- Ability to learn and utilize clinical software and electronic clinical records.
- Possession of a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and necessary automobile insurance.
Work Schedule & Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Travel to serve patients within a designated radius is required.
