Job Summary:
The Geomatics Specialist is a key role in our organization, responsible for collecting and managing geospatial data in the field using advanced technologies such as GNSS/GPS and UAS equipment. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process geospatial data in the field using GNSS/GPS and UAS equipment.
- Upload and process data using software such as Trimble GPS Pathfinder Office and Pix4D.
- Integrate survey data from internal and external sources into GIS projects and the Enterprise geodatabase environment.
- Perform data quality assessment and control measures on previously uploaded data.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases using methods including manual data entry, data creation, service creation, image digitization, and data upload from electronic sources.
- Support the design and development of enterprise GIS applications, including map document creation, data development, geospatial analysis, and automated workflow processing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Geography, GIS, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in surveying, field data collection, oil and gas operations, or geospatial analysis.
- Proficiency in GNSS/GPS data collection and UAS data collection and processing software.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise (Server) and ArcGIS Pro applications and extensions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
