Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Optometrist to join our team at Walmart. As a clinical partner to the Vision Center Manager, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and advancing eyecare affordably for everyone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based vision care to patients, recommending and prescribing medications and treatment options as needed.
  • Deliver routine vision care using evidence-based care guidelines and educate patients and store associates on eye health.
  • Consult with other health professionals to prepare patient care plans and observe optometry scope of practice per state board.
  • Embrace new equipment technology and advanced instrumentation, including digital phoropters, EMR, and Maestro (OCT/retinal camera combo).
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
  • Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
  • EMR/EHR experience.
  • Eagerness to embrace new equipment technology and advanced instrumentation.
  • Experience in treating and managing ocular disease.

As a Walmart Associate Optometrist, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $100,000.00-$200,000.00, plus annual or quarterly performance bonuses. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits include PTO (including sick leave), parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting.
