As a key member of our Production Operations (Prod Ops) team, you will play a vital role in the development of advanced missile systems, harnesses, and chassis for various high-stakes applications.
Role Responsibilities:
This position focuses on supporting the assembly, integration, and testing (AI&T) of electro/mechanical structures. Responsibilities include:
1. Leading a technical team to ensure engineering specifications, timelines, and budgetary goals are met.
2. Providing production updates to management and stakeholders.
3. Upholding safety, quality, and performance standards across all operations.
4. Collaborating with a diverse team, including Technicians, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing Engineering, to fulfill program requirements.
5. Offering support on the shop floor, managing manufacturing plans, tooling needs, and engineering changes.
6. Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
7. Engaging in proposal development and operational planning.
8. Creating and refining procedures for tool fabrication and production processes.
9. Adapting designs to optimize manufacturing conditions and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
10. Communicating effectively across various organizational levels to implement changes and resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with at least 1 year of professional experience, or no experience required with a Master's degree.
- Experience working within a multi-functional team environment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing settings.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim SECRET clearance.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems processes and tools.
- Lean Manufacturing experience or certifications in Lean Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of Electro Static Discharge (ESD) and missile assembly operations.
- Strong leadership and management skills in aerospace and manufacturing contexts.
- Excellent communication abilities across engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Basic experience in tooling and equipment design.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.
Work Environment: This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, supporting a full-time schedule with flexible work options available.
