About the Role:

As an Admissions Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in streamlining the admissions process, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient interviews to gather clinical information and assess patient needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient admissions.
- Manage patient data entry, including demographics, insurance, and clinical information.
- Perform pre-certification/authorization reviews with payors to ensure compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to patient inquiries and concerns.
- Participate in hospital committees and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or related field.
- Previous clinical experience in an inpatient setting, preferably in a psychiatric or substance abuse facility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Prior experience working as a NJ screener or in a psychiatric admissions department.
