Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Gardiner, ME. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for operation.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, oil changes, brake and tire work;">
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers;">
  • Identify root causes of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required;">
  • Replace defective components as instructed;">
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints, and utilize key functions of Shop Management Systems;">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred;">
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred;">
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance;">
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred;">
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire;">

Benefits:

  • $23.00 per hour hourly pay;">
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter – four times per year;">
  • Sign-on bonus: $2500 at 30 days and $2500 at 90 days;">
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends off;">
  • Holidays: annual merit pay increases, paid training, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid maternity leave, paid time off, and additional day off for U.S. Military Veterans;">
