About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Supervisor to join our team at West Fraser. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating our safety and environmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination
    • Provide guidance and support to team members and leadership on workplace hazards, incident reporting, and safety program development.
    • Lead facility EH&S programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Support the General Manager on claims management.
    • Assist facility leaders with safety investigations.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA General Industry standards and West Fraser standards.
    • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and policies.
  • Training and Development
    • Facilitate EH&S training for all members.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting
    • Measure progress toward meeting EH&S targets, safety plan objectives, and Leading Indicator targets.
  • Incident Reporting and Recordkeeping
    • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate incident reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Become proficient with the safety tracking system Intelex.
    • Knowledge and/or experience with Title V facilities and the EPA Clean Air Act, including stormwater, wastewater, and waste management acumen.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Knowledge and/or experience with Title V facilities and the EPA Clean Air Act, including stormwater, wastewater, and waste management acumen.
    • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, etc.).
    • Solid understanding of facilitating a successful EH&S program.
    • Ability to present and train team members.
