Pest Control Services Manager Job Description

Quality Building Services (QBS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pest Control Services Manager to oversee all aspects of our Pest Control business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing proposals, managing client expectations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Pest Control division and ensure profitability.
  • Supervise technicians performing work in the prevention, control, and elimination of insects, vermin, and other pests from client buildings.
  • Identify and implement effective Spray chemical solutions, powders, and gases to eliminate pests.
  • Train technicians in products, safety, and operations.
  • Identify invading pests and damage to property.
  • Act as a technician as necessary.
  • Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested areas and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
  • Measure area dimensions requiring treatment.
  • Ensure appropriate protective gear and equipment during application is available and used.
  • Report any inaccuracies and/or deviations immediately.
Requirements:
  • Seven years of verifiable full-time experience as a supervisor or manager working in the category or categories 7a, 7f, 8; or
  • Seven years of verifiable experience as a supervisor or manager working as a certified private applicator.
  • Certified Commercial Pesticide Technician issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (7A, 7F and 8). This certificate must be maintained for the duration of employment.
  • Able to lift up 50 pounds.
  • Able to wear a respirator.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Customer-service skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • OSHA training.
  • Recertification approved by NYS DEC when required.
